For science, you can start your kids watching myth buster and nova.  Mythbuster sometimes explain some basic science concepts.  Nova is very broad, science, history, geography, many educational materials are there.

For mythology, once your child can read, try this

We borrow from the library, but kid also spend his own money in buying the books.  I already know some mythology, but not as extensive as his, he has surpassed me already.

As far as kinetic energy, wish kid is smarter, I can tell you if your child is curiosity and wants to learn, he/she will still ask you questions, and they can get more and more difficult to answer.

Trust me, kinetic energy is nothing.  I was confronted why is sky blue before kindergarten, why is there gravity around 2nd or 3rd grade :(

至於數學,物理,化學,我最討厭.我不知道美國小學什麼時候開始會教,我想我兒子開始接觸的時候,我是死定了...
